I know you must be wondering why you have not been lucky in securing that your dream job last year, sometimes you think you are not getting something right or maybe the problem is from your village people, please don’t mind my jokes. But hey, Detailed research has it that, there are possibly thousands of professional skills in the world now and still increasing by the day.

Due to the high rate of unemployment in the country and the world in general, a detailed but conclusive research has been carried out to finally craft out a list of just 25 skills employers will be looking out for, and job seekers/unemployed youths should hunt for this skills in order to secure better jobs, more or less stand a better chance in the field.

The research was carried out by LinkedIn, and How did LinkedIn arrive at this 25 skills? Here is what they said:

“we used exclusive LinkedIn data to determine the skills companies need most in 2019. These are the skills your boss and your boss’s boss find most valuable, but have a hard time finding – and the skills that’ll most help you better serve your clients and customers”.

There you have it, so now if you look at your CV and you don’t find any of these skills mentioned below, then I suggest you should get to work to improve yourself this year. I know you will Believe me when I say that your B.Sc. Is no more enough, you need to improve yourself and upgrade your CV. In order to get that dream job and do better.

One thing am sure acquiring one or more of this skill will do for you is that, it will place you in a certain position that even if you don’t want to work as an employee, you can start up something called freelancing and from there you can build your own business and who knows you might even end up becoming your own Boss/an employer. Let’s get into it already.

LIST OF SKILLs

  1. Cloud computing

Artificial Intelligence (AI) emphasizes on the creation of intelligent machines that work and react like humans. Its sometimes called machine intelligence, that creates an interaction with animals and humans in general, an example of this intelligence is voice recognition, motion detection etc.

Analytical reasoning (AR) refers to the ability to look at information, be it qualitative or quantitative in nature, and discern patterns within the information. It involves deductive logic/reasoning with no specialized knowledge, such as: recognizing equivalent statements; to decipher what is true or not from a given fact; comprehending the basic structure of a set of relationships

  • People Management

People Management is one the skill you should possess or work to possess though it’s a managerial skill, their task includes compensation, hiring, performance management, organization development, safety wellness, benefits, employee motivation, communication, administration and training.

  • UX Design

This is the process of enhancing user satisfaction with a product by improving the usability, accessibility, and pleasure provided in the interaction with the product.

  • Mobile Application Development

this is the set of processes and procedures involved in writing software for small, wireless computing devices such a smartphones or tablets.

  • Video Production
  • Sales Leadership

A sales leader is someone who helps or leads the sales organization to generate predictable and repeatable revenue for the company.

  • Translation

One of the main use of this skill apart from translating languages is to edit paid jobs via online portals of the a particular said company.
